Simon has a wealth of experience in international business, specialising in brand localisation, especially relating to service and hospitality. He has led successful projects in a broad cross section of industries, ranging from restaurants and cafés, to bridal salons and day spas. Whether it is dealing with household name brands or small-scale start-ups, Simon has done it. He is personally responsible for the creation of businesses totalling billions of yen in annual sales.
Though British, Simon has spent his entire professional career in Japan, and has an in-depth understanding of both Japanese and Western cultures and peoples, enabling him to be an excellent communicator and negotiator.
Simon was educated at Winchester College and the University of London.
Born and raised in Japan, but educated in England, ‘Tomo’ is fully bilingual and bicultural.
He has substantial experience managing international projects in various industries including retail, real estate, hospitality, logistics etc.
Having originally trained as a management consultant at a top firm, he is particularly adept at market research, strategic planning and advising, and international market entry.
Tomo was educated at Charterhouse School and the University of Oxford.
